Our Doctors have undergone additional training in clinical breastfeeding and related issues.

We provide patients and health professionals with links to Doctors who have an interest in breastfeeding or who have a higher qualifications in breastfeeding management (IBCLC).

Doctor / IBCLCs may provide services such as:

• Antenatal support and planning

• Low milk supply

• Oversupply, engorgement and overactive let down

• Nipple conditions (trauma, infection, vasospasm, dermatitis)

• Breast infections (mastitis, thrush)

• Slow weight gain in infants

• Infant allergies and intolerances

• Tongue-ties and oral assessments +/- intervention

• Unsettled infants and sleep/settling concerns

• Induced lactation in surrogacy/same-sex parents

• Care of infants with special needs (prematurity, cardiac conditions, cleft lip/palate)

• Care of mothers with medical concerns (diabetes, thyroid, mental health issues, past breast surgery, cancer)

• Support for families with multiple births (twins, high order multiples)
